A number of diaspora organizations in Canada have organized a first ever demonstration on the Parliament Hill in Ottawa, the capital city of Canada to highlight the situation in India and to put forward asks of the Canadian government.
People from Montreal, Toronto, and elsewhere are converging to symbolically deliver an open letter signed by over 50 civil society organizations and hundreds of individuals in Canada. This letter is the first that lists what the Canadian Government can do to intervene both on the ground here and in India, in various ways, such as via trade agreements. Full details of the demonstration can be found at https://www.facebook.com/events/933158694460910/
