The outpouring of solidarity with women in Iran is rooted in opposition to patriarchy that may be exhibited by a state, family, community or religious authorities and institutions. It is a solidarity informed by a firm belief that women are the ones to decide on issues that impact them. At the same time the situation in Iran is being used to incite Islamophobia. The webinar will address these issues.
