At the end of 2020 82.4 million people worldwide were forcibly displaced due to persecution, conflict, violence, human rights violations or events seriously disturbing public order. Among them are nearly 27 million refugees, hosted in other countries.
But how did things get to this point, and does the West have a role to play in causing global displacement? This workshop sheds light on the concerning statistics impacting millions of people on a daily basis, and how the refugee crisis does not end once refugees arrive in a new country.
This workshop will be facilitated by Alaa Mohamedahmed and will be online, through Zoom. The link to the Zoom will be posted the day of the workshop.
